A firework malfunction during SEVENTEEN’s world tour concert in Incheon led to two audience members sustaining minor injuries, prompting an immediate apology from the group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment.
The incident occurred on September 13 during the finale of the “SEVENTEEN World Tour [NEW_] in Incheon” at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. According to Pledis, part of the stage fireworks unexpectedly veered toward the audience.

“Although the safety distance and direction had been thoroughly checked multiple times by professional staff before the show, a defective product caused the accident,” the company said in an official statement released on September 14 via Weverse. “We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were shocked or inconvenienced by this sudden situation.”
Two fans were treated immediately at an on-site medical station before being discharged. Pledis confirmed it will cover additional medical costs if needed, stating, “We will actively support all necessary treatment procedures to ensure their quick recovery.”
The company also announced stricter safety measures moving forward: “For the September 14 performance, the defective products have been completely removed, and we are reinforcing safety inspections to prevent any recurrence.”
Fans attending the affected concert will also receive separate guidance messages as the agency continues to assess whether any further damage occurred.
