K-pop icon G-Dragon proved once again why he remains one of the genre’s most influential artists, delivering a show-stopping headlining performance at Head in the Clouds LA 2025 — his first North American stage in eight years.
Taking place on May 31 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, the festival drew a massive crowd of 36,000 fans who witnessed the long-awaited return of the BIGBANG leader. With a set that felt more like a solo concert than a festival appearance, G-Dragon captivated the crowd for nearly 50 minutes, performing 11 tracks with seamless energy, charisma, and artistic flair.
The performance opened with his latest track “POWER”, setting the tone for a high-octane showcase that included the globally buzzed-about “TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak)”, and classic anthems like “One of a Kind,” “CRAYON,” and “HOME SWEET HOME.” Donning striking pink hair and bold Western-inspired fashion, G-Dragon matched sonic intensity with a bold visual statement, reminding everyone that he’s not just a performer — he’s a cultural force.
One of the night’s most unforgettable moments came when CL joined him on stage for a performance of “The Leaders,” reuniting two of K-pop’s most legendary figures. The crowd erupted as the duo traded verses, with fans singing along in Korean and waving light sticks in rhythm — a moment that transcended language and geography.
G-Dragon’s return to the U.S. comes amid his ‘G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch],’ a global concert series that has already sold out major venues across Asia, including the Tokyo Dome, Kyocera Dome, and Philippine Arena. Upcoming stops include cities such as Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Sydney, and Melbourne, with a three-day stint in Macau kicking off June 7.
He’s also slated to headline K-STAR SPARK IN VIETNAM 2025 on June 21, further solidifying his presence on the world stage.
After nearly a decade away from the American spotlight, G-Dragon’s return not only reaffirmed his star power — it ignited a renewed wave of excitement among international fans and marked a powerful new chapter in his already legendary career.
