Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience combines full concert performances with documentary-style segments offering behind-the-scenes access to the tour. The film is directed by Paul Dugdale, an award-winning concert film director known for Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour and Adele: One Night Only, with documentary segments directed by Farah X, whose work includes The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion.
The film is produced by Live Nation Studios, with the goal of translating the scale and intensity of Stray Kids’ stadium shows into a theatrical format designed for large screens.
Under the agreement:
Bleecker Street’s Crosswalk will release the film in North AmericaUniversal Pictures Content Group will handle distribution in most international territories
South Korea, China, and Japan are excluded from the deal
The film will receive a worldwide theatrical rollout beginning in early 2026, with select screenings available in IMAX®.
Bleecker Street CEO Kent Sanderson said the film reflects the company’s focus on large-scale cinematic events, noting that Stray Kids’ global reach and fan engagement make them an ideal fit for the theatrical format.
Universal Pictures Content Group EVP Helen Parker highlighted the group’s role as pioneers in the event cinema model, emphasizing the opportunity for international audiences to experience Stray Kids’ dominATE world tour in theaters.
Live Nation Studios Head of Film & TV Ryan Kroft described the project as a comprehensive look at the group’s live performances, featuring front-row concert footage, behind-the-scenes moments, and exclusive interviews.
Since debuting in 2018 under JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids have become one of the most commercially successful K-pop acts worldwide. The group has sold more than 30 million albums globally, achieved multiple No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200, and earned major awards from the Billboard Music Awards, MTV VMAs, People’s Choice Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Their dominATE world tour marked a significant milestone, including sold-out stadium performances and expanded global demand, further solidifying their position as a leading force in contemporary K-pop.
Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience is positioned as a theatrical event cinema release, offering audiences a shared in-theater experience rather than a streaming debut. The inclusion of IMAX® screenings underscores the film’s emphasis on scale, sound, and visual immersion.
Additional details, including ticket sales and screening schedules, are expected to be announced closer to the film’s release.
