Fandoms of BTS’s Jungkook and aespa’s Winter are raising their voices once again — this time urging HYBE, BigHit Music, and SM Entertainment to finally step in and protect the artists from growing rumors, harassment, and online attacks.
As dating speculation spreads across social media, fans from both sides are calling out the agencies for their silence, saying it is causing real damage to the idols and the fandoms themselves.
On December 8, ARMY launched a major protest on X (Twitter), trending #HYBEProtectJungkook globally. Fans accused the company’s prolonged silence of enabling anti-fans:
“Ignoring the problem sends a message that Jungkook can continue to be harassed without consequences.”
Jungkook has already faced repeated privacy invasions, including home intrusion attempts. Fans say BigHit’s lack of communication about ongoing legal actions has left them feeling frustrated and ignored.

Winter’s fans released a formal statement demanding SM Entertainment take strict action against malicious commenters, false rumor creators, and defamatory YouTube channels.
They say they have submitted thousands of organized reports and evidence PDFs, yet SM has not issued any official update or notice.
Some fans even staged protests and temporary boycotts — but the company has remained silent.

A growing number of fans from both fandoms have expressed deep disappointment on SNS, saying they feel emotionally exhausted and even betrayed by the situation.
Some longtime supporters shared that they spent years of money, time, and personal effort supporting their idols — from albums and concerts to merchandise — only to be met with sudden relationship rumors without clarity.
Many fans say the agencies’ “no comment” stance feels like an indirect confirmation:
“If nothing is happening, why stay silent? It makes us believe something is going on,” some fans wrote online.
This interpretation has led to confusion, division within the fandoms, and emotional burnout — all amplified by the companies’ continued lack of communication.

Recent online posts claim Jungkook and Winter share “matching tattoos,” “couple items,” and “synchronized posts,” pouring gasoline on the rumor fire.
Neither HYBE nor SM Entertainment has confirmed or denied anything, leaving the situation to grow unchecked.
