G-DRAGON, often called the Fashion Icon and Human Chanel, made a sleek and effortless appearance at the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 runway show, held inside the transformed 168 Bowery subway station in New York. With his signature quiet charisma and polished presence, G-DRAGON once again proved why his fashion influence remains unmatched.
The event marked Chanel’s highly anticipated return to New York for the first time since 2018. Artistic director Matthieu Blazy unveiled the collection in an underground space redesigned into a cinematic runway, where models walked beside a stationary subway train that served as the backdrop.
The front row gathered an impressive lineup of celebrities, including Tilda Swinton, Kristen Stewart, Meg Ryan, Teyana Taylor, Bowen Yang, Ayo Edebiri, Christine Baranski, Questlove, and designer Dapper Dan. Among Chanel’s new ambassadors was A$AP Rocky, who attended the show and reunited with G-DRAGON — their first encounter taking place 12 years ago.
Seeing the two influential style leaders together again added a subtle but memorable highlight to the night, reflecting the global reach of Chanel’s creativity and long-standing connections with artists across fashion and music.
