Stray Kids’ lead vocalist Seungmin is celebrating his birthday in the most heartfelt way. Known for his dreamy vocals that captivate fans worldwide, Seungmin marked September 22 by donating 100 million won (approximately $72,000 USD) to the child welfare organization Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. His donation will go toward the foundation’s Family Care Child Support Project, which helps children shouldering adult responsibilities too early in life.

Seungmin shared, “I hope this small gesture can lighten the burden for kids who are forced to grow up too soon. More than anything, I wish it gives them the strength to dream about their future.”
By doing so, Seungmin joins his fellow Stray Kids members in a long-standing tradition of giving back—not only on their birthdays but throughout the year. From donating to support young adults preparing for independence to contributing to emergency relief funds, the group has consistently turned special moments into opportunities to spread kindness.
Last year, Seungmin donated the same amount to support youth transitioning into adulthood, and earlier this year, he and his fellow members collectively gave 800 million won to aid wildfire recovery efforts in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
From his soulful performances on stage to his generosity off it, Seungmin continues to inspire. Stray Kids’ Seungmin en route to his first-ever London Fashion Week with Burberry on his birthday.
