K-pop rookie sensation RIIZE is set to take the stage across Asia with their first-ever full-scale concert tour, “RIIZING LOUD,” starting this July — but questions linger about their global reach in light of recent fan-led boycotts in the West.
SEOUL — SM Entertainment has officially announced that RIIZE will launch their first formal world tour this summer, beginning with a three-day Seoul residency at KSPO Dome from July 4 to 6. Titled “RIIZING LOUD”, the tour includes 14 stops — all in Asia — marking a major milestone for the group since their 2023 debut.
According to the full tour schedule released on May 1st via SM’s official channels, the group will visit key cities including Hyogo, Hong Kong, Saitama, Hiroshima, Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Taipei, Tokyo, Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila, Singapore, and Macau, spanning performances through February 2026.
This tour comes roughly one year after RIIZE's first fan concert series “RIIZING DAY”, and fans have eagerly awaited the group's return to the live stage. What makes RIIZING LOUD particularly significant is that it's their first formal world tour, launched just after the announcement of their debut full-length album “ODYSSEY”, which drops June 19.
But while RIIZE is clearly gaining momentum in Asia, some fans are questioning why the group has yet to announce any Western dates. Recent backlash from international fans — particularly in the U.S. and parts of Europe — has led to murmurs of informal boycotts, sparked by concerns ranging from cultural appropriation debates to SM Entertainment’s promotional focus.
Despite the controversy, the group's domestic and pan-Asian popularity continues to soar. Their upcoming Seoul shows are expected to sell out quickly, and anticipation is high for ODYSSEY, which could prove to be a turning point for their international image.
Whether RIIZE will expand their tour to North America or Europe remains to be seen. For now, “RIIZING LOUD” is an unapologetically Asia-centric affair, a safe move that may reflect both strategic caution and strong regional demand.
More information on ticketing and venues will be shared through RIIZE’s official social media platforms.
