FTISLAND member Choi Min-hwan sparked concern among fans after briefly collapsing during a live performance, with his agency later reassuring the public that his condition is stable and not serious.
On January 31, FTISLAND were performing at the 2026 FIRST MUSIC STATION event held at KINTEX in Goyang, when Choi Min-hwan showed signs of physical distress mid-stage. The performance was momentarily adjusted as medical staff stepped in, and the stage continued with substitute support to ensure the event proceeded safely.
Shortly after the incident, FNC Entertainment released an official statement via the group’s fan community platform, clarifying the situation. According to the agency, Choi Min-hwan experienced temporary exhaustion and dehydration symptoms during the performance and was immediately examined by on-site medical professionals.
The agency confirmed that no major health abnormalities were found, emphasizing that the artist is currently resting and recovering under close observation. FNC added that they will continue to monitor his condition carefully and prioritize his well-being moving forward.
The statement also included an apology to fans who were worried by the unexpected situation, promising more cautious concert operations and stricter health management for artists in future schedules.
Choi Min-hwan, known as the drummer of FTISLAND, has remained active across music and performance projects over the years, making the incident particularly concerning for fans watching live. However, with the agency’s reassurance and confirmation of his stable condition, attention has now shifted toward his recovery rather than speculation.
FTISLAND’s team concluded by stating that their current focus is entirely on Choi Min-hwan’s rest and safe return, asking fans for continued support and understanding.
