SBS has officially confirmed that its weekly music program Inkigayo will take a short hiatus throughout December, pausing broadcasts for three consecutive weeks due to the network’s packed year-end schedule.
The announcement was shared on December 2 through Inkigayo’s official social media channels, where SBS informed viewers that the show will not air on December 14, 21, and 28. The network thanked fans for their understanding as preparations intensify for its major holiday productions.

The temporary break comes as SBS gears up for the highly anticipated 2025 SBS Gayo Daejeon, one of Korea’s biggest year-end music festivals. This year’s event is set to take place on December 25, 2025, at the Inspire Arena, bringing an extra spark of holiday excitement as fans count down to Christmas. The show line up includes: STRAY KIDS, IVE, ENHYPEN, NCT DREAM, TRESURE and many more.
Inkigayo, which normally airs every Sunday at 3:20 PM, is expected to return to its regular schedule after the holiday season. Until then, all eyes are on Gayo Daejeon—an event that promises major stages, special collaborations, and unforgettable holiday performances.
