The 2025 Met Gala turned into a star-studded K-pop affair as Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa of Blackpink graced the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, stunning fans and fashion critics alike while subtly teasing a long-awaited group reunion.
Dressed impeccably to reflect this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the trio delivered unique interpretations of modern tailoring while staying true to their fashion-forward personas.
Jennie, a stunning Met Gala standout and Chanel’s global muse, reimagined classic menswear with a chic Chanel tuxedo gown. The sleek black ensemble revealed a sharply tailored jumpsuit beneath, punctuated with white camellias and cascading pearls. Topping it off with a vintage-style hat, Jennie shared on the carpet that her look was inspired by Coco Chanel’s early 20th-century runway aesthetics. “I love diving into the archives and bringing the past into today’s story,” she said.
Lisa made a bold entrance shortly after, blending edginess with elegance in Louis Vuitton. The Thai rapper and dancer stepped out in a dramatic see-through lace bodysuit layered under a structured jacket, accessorized with pearl-gold chain accents, logoed tights, and a statement bag. Her outfit was a striking take on the theme, leaning into fearless silhouettes while honoring her role as Vuitton’s global ambassador.
Rosé arrived fashionably late but made sure all eyes were on her. Representing Saint Laurent, the singer wore a sweeping black tuxedo gown with sharp shoulders and a plunging neckline, contrasted by eye-catching red stilettos she proudly highlighted to reporters. Her jewelry—Tiffany & Co. sapphire and diamond pieces—added a touch of glamour to her tailored elegance. “It feels amazing to be back, especially with my girls,” Rosé shared, referencing her last solo appearance at the event in 2021.
Beyond the fashion, the trio sparked excitement over what’s next for Blackpink. When asked about upcoming plans, Jennie hinted, “It’s Blackpink in your area—soon again.” Rosé added with a grin, “We’ve been in the studio recently. There’s new music, and this next chapter feels like a whole new way to tell our story.”
This Met Gala marks a symbolic moment for the group. After pursuing individual projects and signing with different solo labels—Jennie with Columbia and Oddatelier, Lisa with LLOUD and RCA, Rosé with Atlantic—their continued public appearances together fuel anticipation for their summer world tour, their first full-group activity since 2023.
While Jisoo was absent from the carpet, her presence was certainly felt. The four members, who renewed their group contract with YG Entertainment last year, have made it clear that Blackpink as a unit isn’t going anywhere.
