Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon Crashes JYP to Pitch "Billboard-Bound" Song to Stray Kids' 3RACHA

0

In the 26th episode of her popular YouTube web series Hyo's Level Up (가짜 김효연), Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon brought ultimate chaotic energy to JYP Entertainment. Armed with a self-composed track and ambitious dreams of targeting the Billboard charts, Hyoyeon paid an unexpected visit to Stray Kids' producing trio 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han).

Key Highlights from Episode 26

1. The Retro CD-R Pitch

Hyoyeon made a dramatic entrance at the JYP recording studios holding a physical CD-R containing her brand-new demo track [03:46].

When 3RACHA gently reminded her that nobody uses CD players in modern recording suites, Hyoyeon joked that ChatGPT (or "Jaemin-i") told her burning CDs was still standard studio etiquette [04:02]. The group eventually switched to a USB drive to listen to her track [04:41].

2. Did AI Write These Lyrics?

Upon playing the heavy trap-infused beat, Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han were instantly impressed by the flow [05:14]. However, when it came to the lyrics, 3RACHA couldn't hold back their laughter [06:23].

Changbin and Han playfully suspected that Hyoyeon used an AI lyric generator, pointing out the uncanny word associations and lack of rhymes [06:35].

3. Mouth-Beat Freestyle Battle

To prove her natural musicality without machines, Hyoyeon challenged 3RACHA to a mouth-beat arrangement battle [13:19].

  • Hyoyeon's Version: She reworked Girls' Generation's "Party" into an impromptu dialogue about splitting the bill for drinks [13:39].
  • Han's Counter Attack: Han delivered a hilarious freestyle R&B track teasing Hyoyeon about slipping over earlier in the day [14:15].

4. The "Sriracha" Custom Track & Studio Booth Session

Taking matters into her own hands, Hyoyeon wrote custom lyrics specifically tailored for Stray Kids, revolving around the word "hot" and playing on "Sriracha" [18:27]:

"Stray Kids is hot, hot is Sriracha, Sriracha is spicy, spicy is chili, chili is red, red is apple..."

3RACHA jumped into the recording booth to track the absurdly catchy verse [20:22]. Shortly after, Hyoyeon stepped into the booth herself to attempt Stray Kids' upcoming title track "THIS & THAT" [23:00], receiving direct vocal coaching from the trio.

5. The Ultimate Plot Twist

Seeing how incredible 3RACHA made her "Sriracha" song sound in the booth, Hyoyeon suddenly had second thoughts about giving it away [26:44]. She snatched her USB back, declaring that she was keeping the song for her own Billboard debut, leaving 3RACHA lightheartedly relieved that they escaped a "song crisis" [27:46].
