SHINee’s Taemin continues to prove his global star power, completing his very first solo fan meeting in China with overwhelming success.
On August 23, the artist held “2025 TAEMIN FANMEETING [CLASS-MATE] in HANGZHOU” at the heart of the city, marking his first standalone event in the country. The gathering was designed to feel like an intimate classroom setting, filled with conversation, games, and interactive moments that allowed fans to connect with Taemin beyond the stage.
Opening the evening with a heartfelt greeting in Chinese, Taemin immediately set the tone for a warm and personal event. He shared unreleased photos and stories from his daily life, talked about his experiences with Hangzhou’s food and culture, and even gave behind-the-scenes insights into his music. The program also included playful Q&A sessions, impromptu re-enactments of drama scenes, and lighthearted attempts at learning Chinese directly from fans.
One of the most touching moments came toward the end of the fan meeting, when fans surprised Taemin with a special video and group singalong. Clearly moved, he singled out a line from the fan-made project— “Just being by my side makes you my youth”— as especially meaningful. “I will never forget this,” Taemin said with emotion. “Thank you for making this night so special. I hope we can meet more often.”

The event highlighted not only Taemin’s popularity but also his deepening connection with his global fandom. The singer, who celebrated his 11th year as a soloist this year, recently wrapped his extensive “Ephemeral Gaze” world tour, covering 29 shows across 20 countries. Earlier this month, he also met fans in Seoul before heading to China for this milestone.
Looking ahead, Taemin is set to begin his 2025 Arena Tour [Veil] in Japan next month. Starting September 13 at Kanagawa’s PIA Arena MM, the tour will span five major cities—including Saga, Shizuoka, Chiba, and Hyogo—across 11 performances running until late December.
With his heartfelt performances and growing international presence, Taemin continues to solidify his legacy as one of K-pop’s most dynamic solo artists.
