The 2025 K-World Dream Awards has revealed its winners for one of the most anticipated categories — Best Song — and the lineup is nothing short of legendary. This year’s honors go to G-Dragon, IU, DAY6, and BLACKPINK’s Rosé, each recognized for delivering tracks that dominated charts and captured hearts worldwide.
G-Dragon made a spectacular return last October with “Power”, his first solo release in over seven years. The track instantly stormed domestic and global charts, proving the BIGBANG star’s enduring influence. His latest full album, “Übermensch”, released in February, kept the momentum going with hits like “Too Bad” and “Take Me”.
IU, known as Korea’s “digital queen,” reaffirmed her reign in May with “Kkotkkalpi 3”, her third remake album. The title track “Never Ending Story” and every single song from the project climbed high on major charts, both at home and abroad, cementing IU’s unmatched staying power.
DAY6 has been riding a wave of renewed popularity thanks to chart resurgences of older hits like “You Were Beautiful” and “Time of Our Life”. Their September release “Melt Down” from the mini-album “Band-Aid” topped major streaming charts, followed by May’s single “Maybe Tomorrow”, which shot straight to No. 1.
Rosé lit up the global stage last October with “Apartment”, a powerhouse collaboration with Bruno Mars. The song sparked an international phenomenon dubbed the “Apartment Syndrome,” topping everything from Korean charts to Billboard. Her debut solo album “Rosie”, released in December, kept her at the forefront of the global music scene.
