The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) took place on September 11, 2024, at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Originally slated for September 10, the ceremony was rescheduled to avoid overlapping with the presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. This year's VMAs were hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, marking her debut as a host.

New Awards and Notable Winners

This year’s VMAs introduced two new categories: VMAs Most Iconic Performance and Best Trending Video, both determined by fan votes.
