BLACKPINK Celebrates 8th Anniversary with a Full Group Reunion After 11 Months

On August 8, 2024, BLACKPINK reunited as a full group for the first time in nearly 11 months to celebrate their 8th anniversary. The event was a highly anticipated moment for their fans, known as BLINKs, as the group had been focusing on solo activities since their last group appearance.

The celebration was marked by a special live broadcast on Weverse, where Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa shared warm moments, including cutting cakes and singing a birthday song for themselves and their fans. The group members expressed their gratitude for being together again, even teasing each other about their solo projects and recent activities. The livestream ended with hints of future live sessions, leaving fans excited for more.

Adding to the festivities, BLACKPINK held a “pink carpet” event on August 9 at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo District, western Seoul. The event was organized to showcase their concert film, “Blackpink World Tour ‘Born Pink’ In Cinemas”. This premiere not only celebrated their 8th anniversary but also marked their first official group activity in nearly a year, further solidifying the importance of the reunion!

   

 Looking ahead, YG Entertainment has announced that BLACKPINK will be making a comeback in 2025, with a new album and a world tour on the horizon, promising more exciting times for BLINKs worldwide​
